May is Wildfire Awareness Month which is a great opportunity to increase community awareness and individual responsibility for our fire prone area.

Education and planning play a crucial role in wildfire preparedness.
The Lyle Fire Department is collaborating with the Lyle Community Council to raise awareness about the risks of wildfires and empower residents to take necessary measures to protect their properties and the community at large.
If you or your neighbors are not familiar with preparing for fire season, start with these helpful tips - free brochures are also available 24/7 in the Lyle US Post Office lobby (across from the PO boxes)!
