The Washington State Department of Commerce announced their $37 million investment in clean energy projects across the evergreen state. We are excited to share that on this list of funded projects is the Lyle Fire Department solar proposal.
"This is a really exciting opportunity to have a self sufficient fire hall. In our disaster prone area, we need to be able to operate our electric equipment bays and communication devices and offer electricity for life saving medical devices to better respond in emergencies." - Brian Beaulaurier, Lyle Fire District Commissioner
A 44kW solar system with a complimentary energy storage system will be installed at the Lyle Fire Station on Washington Street. The system will cover much of the roof with several components on the adjacent grounds. This project has been funded by the Department of Commerce for a total award of $712,910 with no funding required from the Lyle Fire Department.
