DNR Grant Funds New Fire Suppression Equipment

A Lyle Fire Department (LFD) proposal for a new piece of fire suppression equipment was funded by a Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) grant.

The funds were invested in a new QTAC 75UHP skid unit. This piece of equipment is mounted into a LFD pick-up truck bed and with its water capacity of 75 gallons and 2.5 gallons of fire suppression foam, the ultra high pressure pump could easily suppress a small grass fire, start to knock down a car fire or put out a one room structure fire.

This new equipment will prove to be very impactful for the Lyle community.
