DNR Fire Wise Grant Funds Reduce Fire Risk in Lyle

The Lyle Fire Department has been selected to receive funding from the Washington Department of Natural Resources and their Fire Wise program.

Outreach and informational signs will be purchased with the $3,904 grant funding to highlight current burn bans and educate residents and visitors about the current fire danger level.

Thanks to a community minded collaboration with the Lyle Market, the first set of signs have been placed. Additional signs will be installed throughout the fire district as corresponding approvals are received.
